The use of artificial lighting = was probably a ring light shining in front of his face making the portrait light style a butterfly with the shadows of the nose although i got it mixed up and though it was a Rembrandt or loop because of the tilt in the head.

The composition= Fill The Frame / Cropping was not needed

  • Understand The Rule Of Thirds. it gives it a three D.

  • Use Frames.for the picture of the viewfinder.

  • we focused on the persons face rather than the plant in front of him.

  • The Background was white detailed curtain with a flower design.

the success worked with the composition of the picture but the background was clear white the door was showing.

also i tried to make the subject sit but the light couldn't shine properly on his face because we couldn't move the light but I still used flash light on my phone.

the failure was that it wasn't the same as the chair and couldn't find the same curtain, i also struggled to keep the light exposure on the face to be seen because it was taken in the morning.

this is the one I used.
